The Jungle Book – Movie Review
Storyline: Raised by a family of wolves since birth, Mowgli (Neel Sethi) must leave the only home he’s ever known when the fearsome tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba) unleashes his mighty roar. Guided by a no-nonsense panther (Ben Kingsley) and a free-spirited bear (Bill Murray), the young boy meets an array of jungle animals, including a slithery python and a smooth-talking ape. Along the way, Mowgli learns valuable life lessons as his epic journey of self-discovery leads to fun and adventure.

Favorite Part of The Movie?
For me, my favorite part of the movie would have to be watching the interaction between Mowgli and Bagheera, Mowgli fighting to grow up and find his identity, and Bagheera learning to let go and dial back the need to protect him. The bond between these two was portrayed wonderfully throughout this movie. Soul
I loved it when Mowgli met Baloo, because from there I could’nt stop laughing!Punky Bo'ster
The fight between the boy and the tiger, and also when the boy was getting the honey for the bear, that was funny. Oh and I liked when the snakes eyes went funny so she could tighten around the boy.DJ NUG'ster
Disliked About it?
Nothing really comes to mind, this movie is an all time family favorite, its storyline isn’t the nicest at some points, but those points are part of what make the story itself so good.Soul
I nearly cried when Shere Khan killed Akela, I thought that the reasons to why he was killed and the way he was killed was wrong and unfair!Punky Bo'ster
When the boy was told he had to leave and I didnt like when the wolf died, and I really didnt like when the boy was eating and the little animal things stole his food!DJ NUG'ster
It’s so hard to choose just one from this movie, but if I had to pick just one it would be Raksha, I love her loyalty to Mowgli, even when everyone & everything is against them, her love for her son never falters. Otherwise I think that all the voice actors in this movie were picked very carefully and they all did their roles a great justice. Soul
I have to choose both Mowgli and Baloo as my favorites, because when they were together it was so funny. Like when Mowgli was trying to get the honey and Baloo told Mowgli “ahh dont worry the bees wont sting you, there non stinging bees”, then when Mowgli gets down and is covered in bee stings and said “Baloo you lied they did sting me” and Baloo told him “Oh they must have been females! Females sting and males dont, they looked like males from down here, sorry”Punky Bo'ster
Was the boy because he was in all the bit of the movie and because he can do trick and at the end of the movie he was able to beat the wolf kids in the race.DJ NUG'ster
I have to agree with my kids, Shere Khan has never been a character that I liked! I understand why the character was written that way, and I think that Idris Elba voiced the role like no other could, but the trails displayed in the characters storyline/attitude in my eyes are the reason why we have so many problems in the world today.Soul
I didn’t like Shere Khan the Tiger, because he was really mean and was unfair, and straight out arrogant!Punky Bo'ster
I dont like the tiger because he was mean and he killed the dad wolf and tried to kill the boy.DJ NUG'ster
Mowgli “For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.”Soul
Baloo to King Louie “Wow! King Louie! I have always wished to become a monkey so I could meet you! I haven’t become a monkey yet, but I have finally got to meet you! Wow!Punky Bo'ster
The bear song!DJ NUG'ster
Would you Change/Fix Anything?
Not one thing! This is a story that I loved as a child and now get to share with my own children, I think it carries a lot of much needed messages and lessons throughout the movie, that apply today just as much as they did when I was young.Soul
I would change nothing, I loved it just the way it is, it had its ups and downs but it was a really good movie!Punkey Bo'ster
I would change the part where the tiger killed the dad wolf, I would make the wolf kill the tiger instead!DJ NUG'ster

The Jungle Book is an amazing family movie, one that will last a lifetime. I have had the pleasure of not only enjoying the original with my children, but also now the remake, these are memories that we will hold on too. This movie is a Live-action movie, based upon an all time family favorite Walt Disney Animated movie from 1967. Thankfully they chose to leave much of the storyline and character in tact, only making minor changers here and there, that are not all that noticable. It is obvious that a lot of thought was put into the choices for who was going to play each character role, its almost as though each role was originaly written for each of them. This movie gives me hope for the rest of the propsed Disney live-action remakes that will be hitting the cinemas over then next few years! Good job Guys, you did the movie proud!
